THE TREASURE OF CAESAR: An Exciting Treasure Hunt Inside the Roman Forum

DESCRIPTION

The treasure of Caesar, an activity halfway between a treasure hunt and a tour. The goal is to visit the Imperial Forums, especially the Via Sacra, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill, while answering the treasure hunt questions. Immerse yourself in history: cross the Roman Forum and experience ancient history again by reading some anecdotes and answering the quizzes our app shows you. A treasure hunt that speaks of culture and traditions typical of ancient Rome.

The treasure hunt can be combined with:

ANCIENT ROME APERITIF
at the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina

The Archeological Aperitif takes place at the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina, the largest temple in the Roman Forums. The temple's cell transformed into a Baroque church, the marvelous paintings by Domenichino and Pietro da Cortona... and still a unique view of the Forum, a medieval library with manuscripts from the 1500s, a spice museum!

We start with the guided tour! We will discover the story of an imperial love, that between Antoninus and his Faustina. We will enjoy an exclusive view of the Forums... the wonderful paintings by Baroque masters.

Finally... the Archeological Aperitif! Inside the Temple, we will discover what were the emperors' favorite foods, taste cedar wine. The recipes have been reconstructed through experimental archeology and deliciously prepared by the chef!
