All aboard

Sun, sea, and a lot of ingenuity for our cardboard boat race.

Outside of the work context, a well-known company tested about 50 of its employees. It provided them with an opportunity to experiment, collaborate, listen, and trust, not forgetting a touch of competitiveness, ambition, and problem-solving.

The event begins with the participants being divided into teams. An initial briefing will provide guidelines for construction, followed by the distribution of materials. Sheets of cardboard, tape, scissors, and plastic will be the only aids; imagination and creativity will be the responsibility of our sailors.

At the end of the allotted time for construction, boats of all shapes can be admired; after the final technical touches, teams will choose colors and a name that they will decorate each individual boat with spray paint.

Equipped with life jackets and paddles, they head towards the sea. From two to four people board each boat. At the sound of the starting whistle, they face the waves.

Amid laughter and cheers from teammates, they dash toward the finish line. Some boats get lost in the water, some sink, but we can already glimpse the winners.

Once the competition is over, nothing else matters; everyone finds themselves in the water having fun as if they were one big team. Under the warm sun or in the shade of an umbrella, we see them relaxing, sipping an appetizer, filled with an experience that has made them feel like children again.
